Summary of Pulsar Wind Nebulae in Evolved Supernova Remnants by Blondin, Chevalier, and Frierson, which appears in Astrophysical Journal.

Discussion:
I first became interested in scientific research when I took an astrophysics class taught by John Blondin at NC State, where I did my undergraduate degree. I then did research with John for several years as an undergraduate (the best undergrad job ever!). We worked on several projects that involved hydrodynamics simulations of various astrophysical phenomena including active galaxies and, here, pulsar wind nebulae. I didn't stick with astrophysics, but this project definitely was the beginning of my interest in computational science, and scientific research in general.
