21-22 October CPT meeting logistics. The meeting will be at the Talaris Conference Center at 4000 NE 41st St, Seattle, tel. 206-268-7000, info@talariscc.com, http://www.talarisconferencecenter.com/. This is about 1 mile east of the University of Washington campus. We will be done at noon on Fri 22 October for those of you (including me) that need to catch eastbound flights out of Seattle. There is free wireless internet at the conference center meeting and guest rooms. Th/Fr breakfasts and Th lunch will be provided at the conference center. Please let me know who from your group (including you) is coming so I can have a head count. CPT individual and modeling center PIs will be expected to give 20 min presentations on their work to date on Thursday; please give me talk titles. Talaris has a limited number (about 25, currently) of guest rooms available at $109/night available on a first-come first -serve basis reservable by calling the above phone number. If these get filled up, your best alternative choice is the Silver Cloud Inn at 5036 25th Ave NE, (206)526-5200, www.silvercloud.com, $94/night, which is about a 10 minute walk from the conference center. I believe govt. rate for Seattle hotels is $136/nite, so both of these are within your reimbursement limits. The Shuttle Express van service will get you from Sea-Tac airport to your hotel and back reasonably efficiently, $24 per person each way (plus only $6 per additional person for a group of 2 or more). Catch it by taking a skybridge from the airport to the Parking Garage and going down 1 level to Level 3, they have a ticket and information booth right there which you go to for getting sequenced into vans, http://www.shuttleexpress.com/ for more info. There is no need for advance reservations for the trip from the airport, but you will need to reserve the trip back using (425)981-7000 or their on-line reservation service (you can wait until you get to Seattle to do this). A taxi to/from the airport will run you about $40. Travel reimbursement for CPT members who are not core PIs or their entourage, and who we are allowed to reimburse thru UW, will be handled just like last year by Shirley Joaquin (shirley@atmos.washington.edu, 206-685-8396).
