I am interested in understanding global atmospheric dynamics and its interactions with clouds, aerosols, and ocean.

At present, I am actively researching topics involving:

1. -global energy budget, meridional energy transport, and zonal mean circulation of the atmosphere
   

2. -extratropical influence on the location and displacement of the ITCZ (inter-tropical convergence zone, a band of persistent precipitation in the deep tropics)
