- SIMBA (Sea ice Mass Balance in the Antarctic) was a cruise in the Belligshausen Sea which occurred in September-October 2007. It included a fire on the ship that messed up a lot and a 1-month sea ice drift station. PI’s were by Steve Ackley and Jean-Louis Tison
- NABOS'05 (Nansen and Amundsen Observational Systems) is an oceanographic Arctic program led by Igor Dmitrenko. I was on board in September 2005 in the Laptev Sea for a sea ice summer school. However, 2005 had very little ice there. Hence we saw mostly thin ice and made only one ice station. A premonition of the future Arctic Ocean ?
