WRF Model, ARW dynamical core


This model is run once a day starting at 0000 UTC with the GFS analysis and boundaries updated every three hours from GFS forecasts.

These are the specifics on each model run:
- WRF Model Version 2.2.1
- WRF Preprocessing System (WPS) Version 2.2.1
- 120 x 120 Grid with 30 km horizontal grid spacing
- 31 vertical levels in sigma coordinates
- Timestep of 120 seconds
- WSM 5-class microphysics scheme
- Monin-Obukhov surface layer physics
- Noah land-surface model
- YSU planetary boundary layer scheme
- Kain-Fritsch cumulus scheme
- RRTM longwave radiation scheme
- Goddard shortwave radiation scheme
