UW Atmos Outreach

I was one of two Outreach Coordinators for the Atmos Department from March 2009 to June 2011. We host school field trips to the department and show off fun demos and the amazing view from the roof, among other things. The group also volunteers to attend science nights at area schools, showing off the same exciting demos. During my tenure, we began making short, quirky, and creative demo videos for youtube. We are entirely comprised of volunteers. See our Outreach website for more info.

4th Graduate Climate Conference

The GCC is a conference for grad students, organized and run by grad students. I was a member of GCC4's organizing committee during 2009-2010. The 4th incarnation of the event was held October 15-17, 2010 at UW's Pack Forest Conference Center near Mt. Rainier and was a great success. (See evidence in the form of pictures.) For more info, see the conference's website.

Note GCC5 is being held at MIT in October, 2011. Website here.

ATMS 101 -- Introduction to Weather -- Winter Quarter 2009

I had the pleasure of being a teaching assistant for Dr. Jerome Patoux, a great teacher, in the winter quarter of 2009. Good times.
