ATMS370: Atmospheric Structure and Analysis
Instructors: Prof. Gregory Hakim (685.2439) (www)
           : Dr. Lynn McMurdie  (685.9405)

Department of Atmospheric Sciences; University of Washington

This course provides an introduction to the analysis of synoptic weather
systems.  Methods of synoptic analysis are discussed in lecture, and then
applied to observed data in a laboratory class. Basic dynamical concepts
are used to guide analysis.  A daily review of current weather provides
real-time examples of principles derived in lecture and lab.

Prerequisites: ATMS301.
Class meets: MWF 1:30-4:20 p.m. in ATG 610.
