Hi, my name is [xx]. I am currently a student at the University
of Colorado. I attended UW for two years and I was in your intro to
atmos class around fall of '93. Here at CU I am studying Climate
through the Environmental Studies program. I wanted you to know this
because your class influenced my decision to follow this line of study.
Not only do I find the subject facinating and challenging, but I was
encouraged by your enthusiasm for what you do. It is surprisingly rare to
be able to see a professor's excitement for what he does in the lecture
hall. Your excitement was contagious. I am hoping to combine my study of
the atmosphere with geology to do some research in the future. As yet, I
have not decided on one project that I am specifically interested in. As
my studies become more focused I am sure that I will come across several
questions that need answering. Right now, I feel like I still have a lot
to learn. So, I am sorry that it took me a while, but I wanted to thank
you for teaching me.
