ATCF stands for Automated Tropical Cylcone
Forecast system which archives the various
forecasts made during a TC's lifetimes, as
well as the best track data which is
determined after the season ends. Here I have
chosen to compare the forecasts of the SHIP
and LGEM (statistical-dynamical) and GFDL and
HWRF (dynamical) models which are used
operationally by the NHC, to the best
track. Forecasts are shown for only one or two
initialization times, though all
initialization times are available.
