I am originally from Puerto Rico and grew up in the northwestern town of San Sebastián. Earth Sciences was always fascinating to me, and since I was small I liked to watch shows like Raging Planet and such, but it wasn't until 1998 that I decided that I wanted to study the atmosphere. That year hurricane Georges passed through the island, dealing immmense amount of damage. Since then I wanted to do tropical meteorology, as well as do projects that could help out society. So my goals became both.

Free Time

On my free time I like to go to the gym, ride my bycicle, run, and go out with friends. Every once in a while I like to do some pretty adventurous things. Examples are paragliding, skydiving, rafting, rock climbing, etc. I am not very good at these (or sports in general), but I am always interested in trying out new things. So if anybody wants to go on some crazy adventure I am always happy to sign up!!

I also enjoy writing my personal experiences as a graduate student and some educational material. I have two blogs, one in English and another in Spanish, for those purposes.
