Planetary Boundary Layer Model

UWPBL 3.0

Direct model: provide a wind vector at the top of the boundary layer, along with some PBL parameters, and UWPBL will calculate the surface wind vector. You may specify a range of values for one of these parameters.

PBL INPUT PARAMETERS (and beginning value for the specified varied parameter) RANGE and OUTPUT specs
Upper level geostrophic wind
Surface air temperature
Sea surface temperature
Relative humidity
Density
Horizontal temperature gradient
Temperature gradient angle
Latitude (degrees)
Use stratification YES
