There are a number of software packages that are site licensed by the University. A comprehensive list can be found at http://www.washington.edu/uware. CDs and license keys for Microsoft products are available in the department and can be borrowed or installed by contacting support@atmos.washington.edu. We also have the CDs for many of the Adobe products - however, these are not site licensed, but are available at a reduced cost.

Security tools (antivirus etc) can be found at http://www.washington.edu/itconnect/security/tools/. These are free for use by Faculty, staff and students. An alternative to teraterm (found at it connect) is putty

Note for MAC users: If you used the previous (Mcafee) virus scanner, you will need to uninstall it prior to installing the new Sophos one found above. down this VirusScan_Uninstall.sh ununstaller script and run it "sudoVirusScan _Uninstall.sh" prior to installing the new one.
