Assignments Assignments are due by the beginning of class on the due date. If you cannot hand it in at lecture, you may: - have someone else bring it to lecture - place it in Brian Smoliak's mailbox, just inside the door to room 410 ATG Building. - email it to bsmoliak@atmos.washington.edu in .doc or .pdf format. No assignments will be accepted late without prior arrangement. Solutions will be posted after assignments are handed in. Due Friday 8 March: Reading: New Yorker Article IPCC FAR SPM Due Tuesday 26 February: Problem Set 4 - Solutions Reading: Chapter 17 Due Tuesday 19 February: Problem Set 3 - Solutions Reading: Chapter 4, Chapter 5 Due Friday 1 February: Problem Set 2 - Solutions Reading: Chapter 3 Due Tuesday 22 January: Problem Set 1 - Solutions (Revised 01/18/08) Reading: Chapter 2 Due Friday 11 January: 1. Find and read a climate-related news article published sometime within the last month (ok, six if necessary). Turn in a written synopsis of the article and either a copy of the article, a complete reference to the article (source title, article title, date, page), or an accurate URL for the article. The summary should be less than 200 words. 2. Also, turn in a 200 word description of the climate associated with an area you've lived. Try to pick a place other than Seattle, but as mentioned in class, if this is the only place you've ever lived, go ahead and write on it. Reading: Chapter 1 |
