Explore Seattle

    Exploring Seattle
I was a bit miffed when I realized that you really need a car in Seattle to get to the surrounding mountains.
However, I soon found urban exploration a great way to spend a weekend day, with endless amazing trails and uncrowded sidewalks at your disposal.
a. Pick a direction.
b. Go that way for a bit.
c. Go back to (a) until you get dizzy. Then skip to d.
d. Wonder where the heck you are.
e. Find your way back home.
------Never go back the way you came.
f. Map your route. Be surprised at where you were.
g. Sleep the sweetess sleep you've ever slept. voila!

Here are a few of the times I've completed step f. g has a way of dominating.

Bike Burke-Gilman + randomness, Feb 10, 2007 -37 mile ride on my lovely squeaky mountain bike. I wanted to go around the lake, but it was going to get dark.

Walk to Golden Gardens, March 16, 2007 -16 miles of walking, split up by a great beach and a cheap used bookstore.

Run around Lake Union, April 8, 2007 -Just a run that went a different direction than expected.
