Homework:
  • Homework assignments will be distributed in quiz section.
  • Homework will be accepted no later than the beginning of lecture on Wednesday.  
  • Quizzes will be administered in quiz section.
Mid term exam:
  • Midterm exam will be of a short-answer type (multiple choice, fill in the blank, etc). However, some questions may require writing an answer of up to 1/4 of a page of text of comprehensible English.
Final Exam:
  • The final exam will encompass all material covered during the quarter.
  • The final exam will be of the same format as the mid term exam.
Extra Credit:
  • During the second half of the quarter, students interested in an extra credit activity may participate in a forecast competition, in which each student submits (over a secure website) a forecast of Seattle's temperature and precipitation for the next day. Points will be credited for participation and performance.
  • Final grade will be raised by 0.1 GPA for responding to 80% of clicker questions.
